This project introduced many new aspects that I had not previously been exposed. The main one among these was the application of what Houdini calls CHOP's or channel operators. These networks are specifically set up to allow for Houdini to import audio files. In this example, I have been concentrating on the application of only MP3 files, but plan to extend the scope of the files in the near future. Because of Houdini's procedural workflow, this allows for the user to bring any file of .mp3 format into the network and have the animation react directly to the music.
